UAE Ministry of Interior / RAK Police General Command

The Ministry of Interior is the UAE federal authority responsible for internal security, policing, civil defence, traffic and associated public-safety functions. In Ras Al Khaimah, the relevant local policing organisation is the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command. RAK Police operates within the wider Ministry of Interior strategic framework. Its responsibilities include maintaining security and public safety, traffic enforcement, policing services, criminal investigation and community protection. The General Command also operates specialised police departments and service centres across the emirate. Current RAK Police material continues to identify the organisation as part of the Ministry of Interior.
